Equity
The climate crisis doesn’t affect all communities equally – systemically marginalized and under-resourced communities often experience the worst effects of pollution and a destabilized climate. That’s why SGA’s approach to sustainability puts equity and climate justice at the center of our work. We believe every person and every community is entitled to a healthy and thriving environment.

Climate Justice for A Sustainable Future
All communities deserve to have healthy, thriving ecosystems, clean energy, and equitable climate solutions. SGA is working with community partners to drive impactful, local sustainability action in under-resourced communities that are most affected by the climate crisis.
Communities deserve equitable access to clean energy, whether it’s on-site solar or geothermal, or community solar. SGA helps communities in making clean energy, cleaner air, and lower energy bills available to all.
SGA works to build a sustainable, local foodshed for all communities in Illinois. We prioritize working with systemically under-resourced communities that often lack access to farm fresh food.
From schools to businesses to large public institutions, SGA helps bring high impact sustainability and climate solutions to a variety of stakeholders across communities. By focusing our efforts on driving solutions in the communities that need them the most, we’re ensuring both people and planet are cared for, equitably.
